The Test Engineer (Eng II, Test) in the V&V team within Specialty Monitoring should be with proven expertise in testing medical products, using both manual and automation test methodologies. The person will work with other members of V&V and other teams (system engineering, development) etc. to ensure that the system is thoroughly verified and documented according to quality management system. The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, demonstrate excitement and energy for product quality, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in PI planning and daily SCRUM meetings and ensure stories/tasks are updated in JIRA every day.
Complete all the Q&R training needed before time.
Analyze subsystem & system requirements with guidance from lead and other seniors.
Design tests covering the system / subsystem requirements – following robust test design techniques covering all positive and negative scenarios
Ensure test designs in the identified test tool [HP ALM] with the needed traceability
Use JIRA as work management and bug management tool
Set up and create the required test infrastructure [software, hardware] following the lab guidelines strictly.
Maintain automation framework, and write
Execute the tests as per the design. Collaborate with development teams to confirm defects
Report defects in the defect management tool [JIRA] following guidelines. Ensure all evidence & steps to reproduce are attached appropriately.
Qualifications
Bachelors / master’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 4+ years of related experience.
Minimum 4+ years of Automation or development background.
Working experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline methodology.
Experience with a variety of types of testing, including regression, performance, stress, unit, integration, and security testing using automation framework.
Technical expertise in automated UI UX workflow using Squish
Expertise in Robot Framework, Python, Squish, and Shell scripting.
Hands-on experience on Git, HP-ALM tool and Polarion is an added advantage.
Hands-on experience on creating automation framework, and functional level software automation test scripts and test execution dashboards.
Knowledge of medical device software development is highly preferred including knowledge of standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971.
