We are looking for an Enforcement Oversight Programme Manager to join ourNatural Environmentteam!

You willlead the governance,coordinationand delivery oversight of critical regulatory and legal compliance programmes within our water quality function.

This roleisresponsible foroverseeing Final Enforcement Orders (FEOs), Regulatory Notices, Undertakings and other Drinking Water and Environmental Legal Instruments. Working across multiple business areas,you'llensure legally binding commitments are delivered effectively, risks are managed proactively, and regulatory obligations are met.

As the focal point for enforcement programme governance and reporting,you'llplay a key role in safeguarding the organisation from regulatory escalation, enforcement action and reputational risk while driving continuous improvement and compliance excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic oversight of all active and emerging Legal Instruments and Final Enforcement Orders

  • Maintain aconsolidatedview of obligations, milestones, deliverystatusand compliance risks

  • Ensure robust governance arrangements are in place, with clear accountability for delivery

  • Support Legal Instrument Owners and delivery teams in understanding regulatory requirements and expectations

  • Define andmaintainan auditstrategy to ensuredelivery ofenforcement requirementsacross multi-disciplinary teams,effectively and on time

  • Coordinate activities across operational, scientific, analytical, assurance and regulatory teams

  • Track actions, evidence submissions, reportingmilestonesand programme performance.

  • Provide first-line assurance on enforcement reports prior to regulatory review and submission

  • Ensure compliance tracking,monitoringand reporting arrangements meet enforcement requirements

  • Champion continuous improvement across legal instrument management and regulatory compliance

What does it take to be successful?

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification / experience / study in environmental science, drinking water quality, regulation,engineeringor a related discipline

  • Substantial experience of managing, leading or overseeing projects, programmes,studiesor similar systems

  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary projects, programmes,investigationsor systems

  • Proven experience in tracking,communicatingand reporting frameworks for projects, commitments,investigationsor compliance programmes

  • In depth experience of identifying,managingand escalating risks in advance of statutory or commitment deadlines

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Risk identification and escalation skills, ensuring emergingdelivery or compliance risks are surfaced early and appropriately managed

  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in regulatory reporting submissions
