Deutsche Bank’s Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) business provides clients with access to the Bank’s liquidity and product expertise through our global sales, trading and structuring teams, as well as our electronic trading channels.

You will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our energy trading business across Europe and the Americas. The role combines day-to-day pricing, trading, and risk management responsibilities with a focus on business and franchise development.

The role will involve working closely with traders and interaction with various other teams including, but not limited to, sales, structuring, research, and control functions.

You will be responsible for managing the trading desk including pricing, trading, and risk management responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Market making and risk management of energy products

  • You will be responsible for developing and enabling the franchise across key global clients

  • Analyze market structure and the opportunities and threats there-in

  • Manage financial risk and non-financial risks

  • Interact with clients, sales and internal counterparties in other trading, coverage and structuring functions to increase market transparency and to generate new business. Build a sustainable business and market share

  • Supervising and developing a team of traders

Skills You’ll Need

  • A deep understanding of commodities products

  • A proven track-record in revenue generation. A proven track-record in sustaining/generating high-quality market share

  • A proven risk management skill

  • Strong quantitative skills

  • A deep understanding of capital and regulatory matters in commodities

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190,000 - $300,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
