To support our growth, we are looking for a :
Energy Storage - Project Devlopment Manager (W/M)
Long term contract
Wiesbaden (Germany)
- Develop utility-scale battery storage projects until Ready-to-Build milestone including the management of the collaboration with external development entities,
- Ensure follow-up of the stakeholders of the project like grid operators, local authorities, landowners and the wider public as part of the project development process,
- Manage the development of the projects in the frame of codevelopment agreements with the local partners,
- Support local PV development team to integrate battery or other storage solutions in the existing renewables asset portfolio as well as in new PV opportunities. Develop the business and operating models together,
- Conduct high-level site analysis and support in the due diligence processes of projects and to actively participate in projects portfolio acquisition,
- Follow-up regularly the regulatory changes, the market reforms concerning battery storage in Germany. Contribute to estimate the revenue stacks for storage project in Germany with understanding on regulation and country’s electricity market mechanism (Wholesale markets, ancillary services, etc.)
- Coordinate the German local business team and the BESS technical team (from Head Quarter in France) and local engineering offices.
Educational Background You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Professional Experience You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in developing renewable energy projects and at least 1 relevant experience in BESS project development in Germany, with a focus on permitting and grid applications.
Energy Markets Insight: Deep knowledge of the German electrical system, regulations, and BESS revenue streams would be a major advantage.
Technical Proficiency You are highly skilled with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint), and have experience with software like Google Earth, QGIS, or equivalent GIS software.
Project Management Excellent project management skills, ability to adapt to change, find solutions and conclude complex projects in a timely manner
Language Skills You are fluent in both German and English.
