ENERGY STORAGE PROJECT DEVELOPER (F/M)
Permanent contract
Rome, Italy
Your main tasks will be:
TO DEVELOP PHOTOVOLTAIC AND BESS PROJECTS AND MANAGE PERMITTING PROCESS
Identify and assess potential sites using GIS tools, feasibility studies, and technical and economic analyses.
Review permitting requirements and the regulatory framework to confirm project feasibility.
Oversee the Italian permitting process to reach ready‑to‑build status, coordinating plant and grid‑connection authorizations.
Ensure full compliance of the projects with applicable regulations and environmental standards.
TO COORDINATE WITH GRID OPERATORS AND STAKEHOLDERS
Negotiate and manage agreements with grid operators.
Negotiate land agreements, contracts, and other project-related documentation.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (local authorities, public administrations, and regulatory bodies).
TO COLLABORATE WITH CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS
Transition projects from ready-to-build status to construction phase.
Provide technical and administrative support during construction.
Coordinate with Construction Managers until commercial operation date is achieved.
Ensure continuity of project information and documentation.
TO ENSURE REPORTING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Develop clear and effective project plans with defined milestones.
Prepare executive-level reports for timely decision-making.
Monitor project timelines, project budget and resource allocation.
Expected skills
You hold a Master’s degree in energy/electrical Engineering and you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing renewable energy projects or at least 2 years specifically in BESS project development in Italy.
A significant experience in project co-development, energy management or BESS revenue streams would be appreciated.
You are highly skilled with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint), and have experience with software like Google Earth, QGIS, or equivalent GIS software.
You are fluent in both Italian and English.
