New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking an Energy Efficiency Residential Specialist to work in a supporting function with the residential supervisor and collaboratively with the residential team to support across all Residential Programs.
Major Responsibilities:
• Assist customers participating in the Residential SAVEGREEN programs.
• Be well versed in the SAVEGREEN residential plan to provide a program overview and explain details to customers and other stakeholders.
• Provide assistance and support to participants throughout the complete cycle from initial contact presentations and throughout participation in the various residential programs.
• Review and explain SAVEGREEN audit findings and recommendations to customers.
• Identify common questions and noted barriers to program participation based on customer and contractor interactions communicate same with managers.
• Assist EE Residential Contractor Liaison to develop and maintain solid business relationships with the program contractors, QC contractor, and program participants.
• Help to coordinate activities and interactions between program participants, SAVEGREEN staff and program contractors, and identify internal training needs.
• Provide timely project and prospective project reporting, keeping the Residential Supervisor, and other SAVEGREEN Management apprised of program status and developments through data metrics, including Quantitative Performance Indicators.
• Understand the PMSS (Program Management Software System) and the SWC (Statewide Coordinator) software system to ensure proper data exchange.
• Lend support to other SAVEGREEN staff on the use of and data entry needs required of the PMSS and SWC systems.
• Assist in developing residential program forecasting and have accountability for goals and metrics projected.
• Communicate residential program changes and challenges to Marketing Manager to ensure customer facing collateral and communications are current.
• Support all evaluation, measurement and verification activities related to the SAVEGREEN program.
• Provide support to SAVEGREEN marketing and outreach efforts when necessary.
• Perform research activities on residential program approaches in other jurisdictions.
• Perform ad hoc projects for the Residential Supervisor, Multifamily Supervisor and SAVEGREEN Managers as necessary.
• Support the preparation of regulatory data request and ad hoc regulatory inquiries.
• Document residential program procedures.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Experience with residential HVAC equipment, energy efficiency programs, or related projects preferred.
• Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification preferred; required within six (6) months of hire.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Effective verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing processes, systems, and business needs.
• Strong data collection and analytical skills preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $64,000- $86,500.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
