This position pays between $96,000.00 to $120,000.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

About This Position:

Supervises the implementation of energy efficiency programs throughout New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC) service territory. Responsible for planning, establishing, and maintaining all energy efficiency community outreach activities with accountability for program participation objectives. Collaborates with department management to develop and implement outreach initiatives that increase program visibility in the target community and relevant stakeholders serving the community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises Energy Efficiency staff by establishing and directing their objectives and priorities in support of department goals, including market visibility for NMGC Energy Efficiency initiatives.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with third party program implementers, including coordination of Implementation Specialist activities to support appropriate execution of programs delivered by third parties on behalf of NMGC.
  • Contributes to development and implementation of Energy Efficiency marketing initiatives, bringing experience from program implementation efforts to bear in support of effective customer and stakeholder communications.
  • Responsible for development and execution of internal training and awareness regarding NMGC’s suite of available Energy Efficiency programs.
  • Supervises outreach activities with, and receive feedback from, contractors, builders and HVAC companies and contractors to build awareness, support, and uptake on NMGC Energy Efficiency initiatives.
  • Responsible for coordination with IT and Legal departments regarding all third-party implementer data requests, including signoff on adherence to established department policy for such requests.
  • Participates as a subject matter expert on projects and committees, as required.

Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Finance or Accounting. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, a High School Diploma or GED and an additional four (4) years of related experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) years of direct experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this or a similar position.

  • Minimum of one year experience as a project coordinator, team lead, project manager, and/or formal or informal supervision of team members.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Preferred: Utility industry experience and/or experience with marketing energy efficiency programs.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment. Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
