New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Specialist. This role will perform a variety of duties related to the operation, coordination and promotion of energy efficiency programs at New Jersey Natural Gas. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day work that supports the SAVEGREEN and/or Comfort Partners programs. This includes work performed by vendors, tracking and reporting on internal QA/QC efforts, work management process and procedures, budgetary and other performance goals related to the work completed, as well as executing controls and practices, monitoring vendor performance, and supporting payments to vendors.
Major Responsibilities:
• Execute program processes and procedures and serve as a resource for internal and external stakeholders related to energy efficiency programs. Collaborate with clients, peers, project personnel and provide verification and documentation that program rules and procedures are followed.
• Analyze information, make strategic recommendations, and guide decision-making by identifying the anticipated benefits, consequences, and impacts of alternatives.
• Coordinate with the appropriate joint utility committee(s) to ensure consistent program delivery of the program across the state while advocating for NJNG positions/concerns in joint utility committees. Work with partner electric utilities in delivery of dual-fuel projects and programs.
• Prepare regulatory data requests and ad hoc regulatory inquiries. Engage with New Jersey Board of Public Utilities in working groups, including identifying potential policy impacts.
• Lead input for assigned program(s) on department-wide forecasting and budgeting for current and future program cycles, including Quantitative Performance Indicators (QPIs) established for the program.
• Participate in national and regional associations to improve NJNG’s knowledge of energy efficiency program approaches and technologies.
• Support marketing outreach and business development for energy efficiency programs.
• Other duties as required by the Management and/or Director to support the energy efficiency programs.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in energy efficiency programs or related industry (NJ experience a plus).
• Building Performance Institute (BPI) professional certification is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Access preferred).
• Effective verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience using energy usage and/or energy analysis software.
• Knowledge of utility billing systems, billing analysis, energy usage, and financial accounting systems (UCIS preferred).
• Availability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays, with limited travel for industry conferences.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $64,000- $86,500.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
