The Endpoint Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting endpoint platforms and tooling across customer environments within a Managed Services organization. This role focuses on endpoint health, compliance, patching, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement of endpoint management systems and processes using centralized tools and scripting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Endpoint Platform Ownership: Own the health, performance, and compliance of endpoint environments across customer infrastructures.
  • Endpoint Management Administration: Manage and maintain endpoint management platforms (MDM/RMM), including Microsoft Intune and NinjaOne or similar tools.
  • Patch & Compliance Management: Monitor and maintain endpoint patching, OS updates, and application compliance, ensuring successful deployment and remediation.
  • Incident & Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve endpoint-related issues including performance, configuration, policy enforcement, and device stability problems.
  • Problem Management: Create and manage problem investigations for recurring or complex endpoint issues.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell scripts (and other automation tools) to improve endpoint operations and efficiency.
  • System Integration: Build and maintain integrations between endpoint management tools and IT systems such as ITSM and monitoring platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure, support, and operations teams to resolve cross-system endpoint issues.
  • Standards & Documentation: Maintain endpoint configuration standards, policies, and technical documentation.
  • Change Management: Participate in endpoint-related change management, deployments, and release activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in endpoint management, automation, and operational workflows.
  • Time Tracking: Accurately track time and activities in the company system, maintaining approximately 70% billable utilization.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: 3–6 years of experience in endpoint management within an MSP, enterprise IT, or similar production environment.
  • Functional Skills: Strong experience in endpoint lifecycle management, patch management, device compliance, and troubleshooting Windows-based endpoint environments.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID device management, and other MDM solutions. Experience with RMM tools such as NinjaOne or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of Windows endpoint administration, Microsoft 365 environment, and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and operational support. Experience with patch management tools, ITSM ticketing systems, and structured support processes. Exposure to enterprise infrastructure technologies such as VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Citrix CVAD is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document issues, processes, and solutions while working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field (preferred but not required).
