TITLE: Endpoint Management Specialist

DEPARTMENT: IT

STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt

SALARY: $35

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Endpoint Management Specialist is responsible for evaluating and deploying new hardware and software across Salvation Army locations, creating and testing customized operating system (OS) images and deployments, and managing application installations via Intune, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) / Configuration Manager (CM). Oversee antivirus and endpoint protection for systems, manages Windows Software Update Services (WSUS) for Windows update approvals, and develops technical documentation to ensure accurate setup and configuration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Endpoint Deployment and Imaging (40%)
  • Evaluate and benchmark new hardware and software for automated remote deployment.
  • Document setup, installation, and configuration procedures.
  • Create and test customized images, update the image library as necessary.
  • Create customized application installations for interactive and unattended remote deployment.
  • Create and test Intune configuration policies, applications and scripts for Windows Autopilot.
  • Create and remotely deploy Lite Touch and/or Zero Touch OS deployment packages via MDT and SCCM.
Systems Management and Configuration (40%)
  • Create, maintain, and update applications, driver packages, scripts, task sequences, and OS packages in SCCM, create and populate SCCM collections, and advertise packages to SCCM collections.
  • Create, maintain, and update applications, driver packages, scripts, task sequences, and operating system packages in MDT.
  • Create, maintain, and update applications, drivers, scripts, and configuration policies in Intune.
  • WSUS management; test Windows updates and approve for enterprise deployment to workstations.
  • Enterprise management of antivirus/endpoint protection infrastructure for servers and workstations.
  • Assist with management of the print and multifunction device fleet.
  • Plan, design, build, and implement Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to integrate software and services.
Documentation and Support (20%)
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure accurate, current, and complete information regarding system/application configurations, customizations, and problem resolutions.
  • Provide training for IT support staff.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Security Camera Systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • 2+ years working experience with configuration and administration of Microsoft Configuration Manager or equivalent enterprise systems management software.
  • 2+ years working experience in configuration and administration of Microsoft Intune.
  • 2+ years' experience with application customization and re-packaging.
  • 2+ years' experience with corporate imaging solutions.
  • 2+ years' experience with enterprise Endpoint Protection deployment, administration, and maintenance.
  • Additional experience: DOS, Windows 8.x and higher, Server 2012 R2 and higher, Active Directory, Azure, and Entra ID, SQL query language, TCP/IP Networks, PrinterLogic or similar centralized print management services
  • Ability to quickly learn new products.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • AA degree in either Information Technology or Computer Science or some combination of at least 4 trade certifications (A+, N+, CCNA, MCP, etc.).
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Mobility
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows scripting (PowerShell, VBScript)
  • Advanced knowledge of operating system customization.
  • Advanced knowledge of distributed computing environments.
  • Advanced troubleshooting/diagnostic of PCs in LAN/WAN environments
