Position Title: Endpoint Engineer 1
Business Unit: Technology
Reports to: Supervisor of Endpoint Engineering
This position is primarily responsible for the proposal and design of solutions that support FNB's endpoint environment. Recommendation and evaluation of improvements to technologies and procedures involved in the deployment and maintenance of endpoints, printers, and applications are critical to continuous improvement of FNB's end user experience. The endpoint engineer works with the IT, Information Security, and business teams to ensure this happens. This position has substantial impact on the corporation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to design and implementation of endpoint solutions. Collaborate with other members of IT, Information Security, and business teams to identify and characterize areas for improvement in end user experience. Propose wholistic, scalable solutions taking all factors and potential impacts into account.
3rd tier of escalation for desktop OS and hardware related issues. Expected to collaborate with other technical resources, internal or external, and escalate to other team members as needed for resolution.
Serving as subject matter expert on FNB's endpoint environment as required by other technical teams, lines of business, and vendors. Attend project planning and status meetings to advise on proper utilization of all parts of the endpoint technology stack to ensure projects are completed successfully and in a timely manner.
Maintenance of endpoint environment, including patching, as well as application packaging and deployment. Proficiency with scripting in batch and PowerShell, an in-depth understanding of Windows operating systems and networks, and the ability to research, develop, and test complex solutions independently.
Reporting status of ongoing implementations to IT management and project managers, including risk assessment based on timeline impact, criticality, and scope of end user impact.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
