Job Description

The Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for an Endowed Chair at the rank of Full Professor (tenured) to begin in the Fall of 2026. The ideal candidate should have a record of scholarly excellence, particularly as it relates to poverty, with a research program that aligns with the mission of the newly created Notre Dame Population Analytics, which is being supported by the university’s Poverty Initiative Duties include research, teaching, and service.

Qualifications

In addition to a demonstrated history of research excellence, candidates should have a proven capacity for leadership, evidence of superlative teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a capacity to help build these exciting new university programs. We especially seek candidates whose work has strong synergies with existing faculty research and initiatives across campus. A PhD in Economics is required.
