The University of Chicago’s Department of Neurological Surgery seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of our growing neurosurgical practice. Appointees will provide clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient setting as a neurosurgeon, including an active neurosurgical clinical practice at our offsite locations, including but not limited to Advent Hinsdale. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Compensation and academic rank are dependent upon qualifications. Appointees will join a vibrant and distinguished community of colleagues and learners in UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, the University of Chicago and its affiliates. The University also has a robust Neuroscience Institute, which brings together more than 90 neuroscientists based in academic and clinical departments across the campus into a cohesive program.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) have or be eligible for permanent medical licensure in the State of Illinois and State of Indiana, 3) be Board Certified/Board Eligible by The American Board of Neurological Surgery, and 4) have additional sub-specialty fellowship training in skull base and/or cerebrovascular neurosurgery.
