Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Endoscopy Technical Specialist, Team Lead to join our Endoscopy team!Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

The Lead Endoscopy Technical Specialist serves as a key resource in the Endoscopy Department to monitor and coordinate the cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment and accessories to assure proper functioning and infection control, while maintaining a clean, safe environment in all areas. This position is responsible for supervision of the ordering and stocking of endoscopy supplies and equipment. This staff member aids in maintaining endoscopy procedure flow by coordinating & assisting with room set-up, patient transfer, room turnover and other duties as delegated under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Work Schedule:

The Endoscopy Technician Team Lead works 10hour shifts with rotating start times of 6:30 a.m., 7:00 a.m., and 7:30 a.m. The Team Lead is also assigned rotating latestay shifts to support endofday coverage and closing responsibilities. This role is primarily based at the St. Louis Park location but requires rotation between the Burnsville and Maple Grove locations as needed. Weekend oncall coverage is required and is shared on a rotating basis among Endoscopy Technician Specialists.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • One year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
    • Must meet all criteria in the Endoscopy Technician job description.
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Completion of SGNA GI Associates Program to be recognized as a GI technical Specialist (GTS) within 1 month of hire.
    • Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines within 2 weeks of hire.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of the daily operations of the Endoscopy Department as well as familiarity with all policies, procedures & work standards.
    • Ability to use the computer software utilized for ordering equipment & supplies.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
    • Possess human relations skills to work as part of a team by demonstrating patience, sound judgment and reasoning skills, as well as courteous behavior.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Two or more years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Certification as a Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
