What We Offer

An Endoscopy Technician, under the direction of Physicians and Registered Nurses, assists with patient care and related services. The technician must have the ability to assist with care of the adult and pediatric population.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care throughout the endoscopy experience, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care, under the supervision of the physician and/or Registered Nurse.
• Prepare and organize supplies, instruments, and equipment for endoscopy procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures and support the clinical team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens according to established procedures.
• Support efficient room turnover, including cleaning and preparing equipment, supplies, and the procedural environment.
• Perform high-level disinfection of endoscopes and equipment in accordance with established policies and infection prevention standards.
• Apply appropriate sterile and non-sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, providers, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain clinical competency and follow departmental, hospital, regulatory, safety, and infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Perform the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged standing and the occasional use of a lead apron.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Two years endoscopy experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Endoscopy Technician Certification, preferred. Endoscopy Technician Certification within one year of hire, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
