Building A - Duluth Clinic - 1st Street

Department:

2002750 ENDOSCOPY - SMMC HOSPAssists the physician with the full range of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures, including specialized procedures. Participates in the on-call rotation, and in the provision of endoscopic services to outreach locations.

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of healthcare program (such as LPN, CA, NA, EMT, etc.) or equivalent technical healthcare training, education or experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-12 months of related experience in healthcare or patient care experience
  • Medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrating proficiency assisting with routine diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures including, screening flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and EGD, and experience assisting in specialized procedures
  • Experience using electronic medical record

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

  • Support high-quality patient care by ensuring readiness and efficiency during procedures.

This position MUST be able to work the following:

  • 64 hours per pay period
  • Rotating 8 Hour Shifts with varied start times
  • Start Times: 7:00AM, 7:30AM, 8:00AM start times
  • On Call Shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
