Applicant must possess Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and be a graduate of an accredited Dental School. A completed post-doctoral residency program in Endodontics is required. Applicants must have graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from a U.S. or Canadian dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), the American Dental Association, or an equivalent dental program. Candidates must have a valid Dental License in the State of California. Certification through the American Board of Endodontics is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience and/or training beyond post-graduate education is required, with at least one year in either professional practice or residency training. A valid DDS or DMD license and current DEA licensure are required. Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with American Heart Association or Red Cross standards prior to orientation. The candidate must be proficient in all aspects of endodontics, including but not limited to single and multi-canal treatments, root canal retreatments, apicoectomies, and instrument separation navigation. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide care to a diverse age group from children to elderly patients are essential. The endodontist must also be comfortable treating patients with varying levels of dental needs. This Endodontist supports the clinic’s dental program by providing comprehensive endodontic care (both surgical and non-surgical) to patients served by the clinic’s Dental Program. Must be able to work with the Indian community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
1. Render dental treatment to patients in accordance with the practices and ethics of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Indian Health Service, and Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc.
2. Complete patient visit records in the EDR timely and thoroughly with electronic signature, date and time.
3. Participate in the Peer Review program, QM activities and UR Committee as assigned.
4. Submit productivity reports as assigned.
Education:
Bachelors degree from accredited college or university. Graduate of an accredited Dental School. Completion of a post-doctoral residency program in endodontics. Dental Licensure in the State of California. Certification through the American Board of Endodontics is preferred.

Experience:
Two years of experience and/or training beyond the post-graduate training level. At least one year of this must be either professional practice experience or residency training.
Certification:
Must have current CPR certification that complies with the guidelines set by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification may be obtained prior to orientation.
License:
Must possess a valid DDS or DMD license. Must possess current DEA licensure.
Knowledge of:
Use of digital radiographs and electronic dental record keeping.
Skill:
Able to perform all aspects of endodontics including, but not limited to single and multi-canal treatments, root canal retreatments, apicoectomies, and instrument separation navigation. Must be able to effectively communicate with and be comfortable treating patients of all ages.
Ability to:
Work with various types of patients from the young to the elderly.
Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
Physical Demands:
There may be some carrying of small objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds.
