About the Role:

Responsible for training employment skills and implementing individual’s objectives in the areas of self-help, academic, recreational/leisure, vocational and career preparation. Emphasis is placed on working with the Employee to function as independently as possible. Enclave Supervisor will perform job tasks along with the Employee to train and instruct them on the proper way of performing the assigned task. Enclave Supervisor will need to be able to be creative in training techniques in order to make the enclave site productive. Enclave Supervisor will need to oversee the enclave site to include that all individuals are producing quality work. Supervisor must be able to develop the individual skills towards independence employment.


Essential Responsibilities:

Employee Training & Support

  • Implement and monitor individual training objectives in accordance with DDSN regulations.
  • Provide skill development in self-help, vocational, academic, recreational, and employment-related areas.
  • Train employees on job tasks, safety procedures, workplace expectations, and productivity standards.
  • Develop creative training techniques that promote learning, independence, and success.
  • Crosstrain employees on multiple job functions and work assignments.
  • Provide support during behavioral situations and document incidents appropriately.
  • Assist employees with personal care needs, including toileting, grooming, dining, and dressing when needed.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete required documentation in Therap twice daily (AM/PM).
  • Accurately document pertinent information regarding employee progress and activities.
  • Maintain production records, quality checks, and required paperwork.
  • Follow and implement Bloodborne Pathogens procedures when necessary.
  • Complete annual Performance Development Plans (PDPs) and required reporting.

Worksite Supervision & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure employees have opportunities to learn and achieve training objectives.
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and performance standards at enclave sites.
  • Work directly alongside employees to demonstrate proper task completion.
  • Collaborate with business partners regarding task assignments and workflow needs.
  • Help resolve workplace concerns and promote positive working relationships.
  • Seek additional work opportunities when production assignments are limited.

Transportation & Community Involvement

  • Drive employees to and from day services, job sites, and community-based work locations as needed.
  • Operate company vehicles for pickups and deliveries according to work orders.
  • Learn and support all assigned enclave routes.
  • Communicate with families regarding transportation delays or emergencies.

Safety & Training

  • Ensure compliance with all workplace safety and health regulations.
  • Conduct monthly safety and health training for employees.
  • Secure all tools and equipment after use.
  • Complete required trainings including:
    • Defensive Driving
    • Bloodborne Pathogens
    • Therapeutic Options
    • Other mandatory agency training programs

Team Participation

  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and planning activities.
  • Participate in developing employee schedules and service plans.
  • Provide support to residential services during inclement weather when needed.
  • Flex between enclave locations as assigned by leadership.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum age: 18
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate with persons with disabilities.
  • Patience and understanding of individual’s needs/abilities.
  • Ability to break down and simplify task.
  • Special Skills and Attributes required.
  • Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass required background and reference checks

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibility to the employee that the position oversees on the enclave site. Also, provide coverage support to residential services during inclement weather.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a day program and manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Other equipment used pallet jacks, hand trucks, bailers, forklift and dollies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, utilize industrial equipment while performing on the job training with employees and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Travel:

Travel for meetings and training is required.
Drive routes to transport Employee to and from Day Services.
