Job Description

About Chorus

Chorus is a WA-based organisation that works with communities and alongside people to support them to live the life they choose at home and in the community, with a particular focus on seniors and people living with disability and mental illness.

We’ve designed a structure that focuses less on management and hierarchy and more on the things that matter - relationships, customers, and communities! Our network of small local teams enables Chorus people to be more connected to each other and feel a sense of belonging.

About the Role

Chorus is seeking a proven and values-led Enabling Leader with demonstrated leadership experience across a diverse range of care models, including aged care, mental health and disability. This role is critical to ensuring our systems, processes and culture enable exceptional, person-centred care across our unique local operating model.

You will have a strong understanding of current aged care regulatory and funding environments and apply sound clinical and operational judgement to support quality outcomes, compliance and continuous improvement, while championing a digital-first approach.

Working in close partnership with Chorus staff and our customers, you will ensure our enabling systems empower local teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Interpreting, translating and implementing legislation to ensure high standards of care, compliance and risk management.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship between our Enabling team and Local teams to support the success of Chorus’ local operating model.
  • Support the development of continuous feedback, learning and improvement culture.
  • Lead the successful implementation of Chorus’ Customer voice strategy, ensuring that customer feedback is encouraged, captured and informs service improvements.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the Chorus internal audit program to strengthen organisational capability and maintain audit readiness.

What We're Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health or equivalent (desirable).
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience within aged care or complex health and human services, including a minimum of five years in an aged care leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the aged care legislation, quality standards and funding arrangements.
  • Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in complex operational settings.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Experience working in mission-driven, not-for-profit, or values-based organisations.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading teams through change, particularly the implementation of digital tools and systems.
  • Comfortable with digital platforms and emerging technologies.
  • A collaborative, humble mindset that fits with Chorus’ self-managed, non-hierarchical structure.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence and the ability to travel to Local sites across WA as required.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one prior to commencing employment)
  • Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency (or willing to apply)

Why Chorus?

  • We’re values-led, not profit-driven. You’ll work for an organisation that prioritises kindness, inclusion, and connection.
  • Self-organising teams. You’ll have autonomy and trust, and be part of something that’s reshaping how care is delivered.
  • Make real impact. Your work will help improve lives—not just optimise systems.
  • Flexible work environment.

Ready to Help Communities Thrive?

To apply, send your resume and a brief cover letter:

  1. Explain why Chorus appeals to you and how your personal values and leadership style align with a values-led, non-hierarchical, self-managed organisation focused on relationships, community, and person-centred care;
  2. Provide a brief summary of your senior leadership experience; and
  3. Provide an example of how you have enabled teams through change while maintaining strong collaboration and customer focus.

We’re reviewing applications on a rolling basis—apply early to be considered.
