The Adult and Community Education program of the City of St. Charles School District is seeking experienced Adjunct Instructors for its Emergency Medical Technician Training program. The EMT Adjunct Instructor will work under the general supervision of the EMT Primary Instructor. Possible day and/or evening positions available.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
Deliver EMT lectures and/or practical skills instruction
Assist primary instructor with skills testing
Strong knowledge of,
Basic Life Support guidelines and standard EMS practices
EMT-level skills training methods and the most current National EMS Education Standards.
Recent changes in NREMT testing practices and learning objectives.
Qualifications,
At least two years of field experience as an EMT or Paramedic.
Valid Missouri EMT-B or EMT-P license.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to provide schedule availability prior to the beginning of each semester.
Able to participate in at least 60% of all skills labs.
Able to demonstrate all EMT psychomotor skills with exceptional proficiency.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
Required Certifications,
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
BLS Instructor Certification is preferred but not required.
Terms of employment: Varied. Approx. 12-24 hours per month, or as needed. No Benefits.
Class Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9am-1pm and/or 6pm-10pm Fall, Spring, Summer semesters; some Saturdays required.
Beginning Date: August 2026 or date determined based upon class needs
Location: Adult & Community Education, 2400 Zumbehl Road, St. Charles, MO
Salary: $20 per hour
