Job Description

We are seeking an EMS Relations Coordinator, sometimes referred to as an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Liaison, EMS Public Relations Coordinator or Hospital EMS Relations Coordinator. The EMS Outreach Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the hospital and private, local, regional, and state EMS agencies, while promoting strong collaboration across all care settings related to EMS and public safety relationships.

Hours: 8-hour shift – 9:00am to 5:00pm ( Very flexible start times)

Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

Responsibilities

**This is not a bedside clinical role. We are seeking a Certified EMS Professional (EMT or Paramedic) who is ready to leverage their field of experience in a more strategic capacity, focusing on community engagement, relationship building and hospital growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Work as the main point of contact between the hospital and local, regional, and state EMS partners
  • Support strong working relationships with EMS agencies and help represent the hospital in the community
  • Help keep communication and teamwork strong across the hospital when it comes to EMS and public safety
  • Build and strengthen relationships with community partners, serving as a key ambassador to expand the hospitals’ presence and referral network
  • Proactively engage with patients and care teams to identify needs, communicate insights, and support high-quality experiences that enhance the hospital’s reputation and community trust

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Current and valid paramedic license issued by the State of Kansas
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • PALS and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • 1 year EMS outreach experience preferred
  • 3 years EMS clinical experience preferred
