Job Description

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision, responsible for the collection, compilation, and manipulation of data to prepare basic quantitative analysis and recommendations to management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties may include:

  • Gathers and organizes information following present operating procedures.
  • Analyzes data gathered, develops information, and considers available solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
  • Reviews documents for compliance and consistency with existing standards and/or regulations.
  • Provides technical assistance related to policies and practices to improve program operations.
  • Conduct digital data management activities to include comparing data on internal networks to FEMA databases, evaluating version control of historic and recently created data, identification of duplicative files.
  • Creates reports, completes tracking documentation and coordinates with various teams on project delivery
  • Conduct research and fulfill requests for data from internal and external customers. Communication with customers to provide status updates and provide subject matter expertise support.
  • Provide support to multiple tasks relating to the digitization, archival, and dissemination of FEMA products. Perform quality control/quality assurance tasks by reviewing digital products for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct document management activities include identifying personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive personally identifiable information (SPII), redacting pertinent information, identifying duplicative files, etc.
  • Conduct research and support development of plans and reports summarizing the research and associated impacts.
  • Collect, analyze, organize, and disseminate project data as requested.
  • Use flood hazard maps and technical surveying/engineering documents to evaluate the application against federal policies, regulations and guidance for Federal Flood Insurance, Hazard Mitigation Grants, and Federal post disaster public assistance or to evaluate the applicability of the mandatory flood insurance purchase requirement through the Letter of Map Change (LOMC) process as requested.
  • Installs new processes or procedures and trains personnel in application.
  • Assesses work processes to ensure functional or project systems are applied and functioning as designed.
  • Develops or updates functional or operational manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Support team members and clients with the review of scopes of work, schedules, budgets, assumptions, and constraints for projects as requested.
  • Support multiple deliverables, adhering to scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Perform quality control checks on data developed.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, including security requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $22.17-$38.02 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
