Employment Specialist - ACCESS VR

We are currently seeking a full time Employment Specialist - ACCESS VR to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful and fulfilling employment. Job duties include assessing each individual's job-related strengths and areas for growth, providing tailored job readiness training, and facilitating a smooth transition from training to the workplace. Provide ongoing, on-the-job support to promote success and independence. Work settings may include day programs, volunteer placements, or community-based job sites. May be responsible for transporting individuals to and from their work locations.
Initially this position will start/end their day at one of our program sites (Poughkeepsie or Wappingers). Work assignments may be in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster County - mileage reimbursement provided. Must be able to travel to 2 of the 3 counties.
Work schedule will be Monday - Friday, though hours will vary based on participants' work schedule.

This program requires that candidates have a Bachelor of Science degree with at least one year of rehabilitation job placement experience and successful completion of required vocational rehabilitation placement training.

Additionally, we host social skills development groups, recreation programs, weekend respite, and after school and school break programs.
