About The Role
You can expect to work with our clients, primarily employers, to support them with legal requirements, including:
• Adverse action and unfair dismissal claims
• Preparing employment contracts
• Managing underpayment claims, including auditing, advising and defending
• Preparing policies and procedures
• Advising on performance and disciplinary processes
• Negotiating enterprise agreements
• Appearing in the QIRC, Fair Work Commission and Federal Court
• Advising on workers compensation matters and WHS issues
• Conducting expert investigations
• Defending bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment claims
As part of our team you will receive training and development opportunities to put you on track to becoming a leader within the Murdochs Employment Law team.
About You
If you have at least 7 years post admission experience in Employment/ Workplace Relations/ Industrial Relations law in Australia – then this could be the role for you!
You will demonstrate:
• Strong technical and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• High level decision making and judgement skills
• Ability to initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Your passion for Employment Law
• Resilience and initiative
• Extensive prior private practice experience
