Packforce is CPA's Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE)
Our purpose is to provide meaningful ongoing work for people with a disability while providing the necessary support they require to do so.
The Employment Development Officer (EDO) role requires an equal mix of hands-on training and support of supported employees and office administration. When new supported employees come on board, you'll guide them through the application and onboarding phase. The role also entails gathering the new supported employee's initial production competency levels to assist in wage assessments which are carried out after the first 12 weeks of employment. Work competency training relevant to the wage assessment is delivered to the employee during this period. Every employee's journey is unique, as are their goals and the challenges they may face.
The EDO also works with the Business Development Manager and Site Manager to attract and recruit suitable supported employees by engaging with special development schools and attending expos.
The EDO will also need to skill and educate the Packforce DSPs on their learning journey, with new clients' needs, changing client behaviour profiles, and onboarding and updating skill profiles.
Although you may not have specific experience in the disability field, on-the-job training will be provided. However, you'll need transferrable skills, the right temperament, and a " can-do "attitude to be the right candidate.
CPA is committed to creating a safe and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from people with diverse lived experience and will happily accommodate reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
We have assessed this role type as requiring a Medium level of physical functionality with some inherent requirements. For more information on what that may mean for this role please click here.
