Our Global Legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the team. The Global Employment Law team provides strategic and practical legal advice to Human Resources and business stakeholders globally, and handles litigation matters involving TikTok in all the regions in which TikTok operates.
We are looking for an employment lawyer to join our existing team of employment lawyers supporting the EMEA region. You should be a motivated, self-starter who can build strong relationships with our HR team and other stakeholders. This is a role within a team - you may flex across the team from time to time, depending on the priorities and needs of the team. We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic, curious individuals who lean into our ByteStyles.
The successful candidate will form an integral part of the in-house legal team. The role is located in Paris.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business stakeholders to help inform strategy and build policies and practices, in France and elsewhere in the EMEA region.
- Advise on all legal issues concerning the employment relationship, including recruitment; global mobility; workplace investigations; terminations and disputes.
- Partner with Labour Relations to provide input in relation to collective matters in France (works council, trade union).
- Collaborate with other legal counsel in our Global Legal team to provide consolidated strategic advice to stakeholders, including in relation to regional and global company initiatives.
- Support the ambitious growth agenda of the business by driving business partnership through smart risk-based solutions.
- Collaborate with HR to develop and draft policies, agreements, and business procedures designed to foster compliance with applicable employment law; and
- Prepare and deliver internal training on various employment legal matters.
