Job Description

Employment Consultant

Work with Purpose – Create Opportunities – Change Lives

Joblink Plus is seeking skilled Employment Consultants to join our Hamilton team, supporting
participants across Workforce Australia programs.

This role is suited to individuals who have worked in complex, high‑volume, or
emotionally demanding environments and are confident supporting people
experiencing barriers, disadvantage, and life challenges to move toward
employment, education, and independence.

About the Role

As an Employment Consultant, you will work directly with individuals navigating
complex circumstances. This is meaningful work that requires sound judgement, flexibility,
and the skill to balance empathy with accountability.

You will:

  • Deliver structured, one‑on‑one case management and tailored employment support
  • Build safe, trust‑based relationships using trauma-informed practice
  • Support participants experiencing barriers such as long-term unemployment, instability, and social or economic disadvantage
  • Work with both young people and adults to achieve sustainable employment or education outcomes
  • Engage with employers, training providers, and community services
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and compliance

About You

We are looking for people who can step into complexity and stay effective.

You will bring:

  • Experience in employment services, case management, community services, justice, mental health, or similar environments
  • Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully and non‑judgementally with people experiencing complex life circumstances, supporting dignity and positive outcomes
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, act professionally, and maintain clear, appropriate boundaries
  • A practical, outcomes-focused approach — you can balance support with accountability
  • Confidence managing high caseloads and administrative requirements
  • A genuine belief in the value of employment and education in changing lives

Experience in Workforce Australia programs is beneficial, but not essential — comprehensive training and support will be provided.
