APM Terminals Liberia is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to support the development of a positive and productive employee experience. In this role, you will partner with leaders, employees, unions, and external stakeholders to strengthen employee relations practices, ensure compliance with labour legislation, and foster a workplace culture built on trust, fairness, and engagement.
You will play a key role in supporting employee relations matters, investigations, collective labour activities, conflict resolution, and compliance initiatives while helping the business proactively identify and address workforce challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and resolve employee relations matters, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct and support investigations relating to employee misconduct, grievances, and policy violations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labour legislation, and employment conditions.
- Analyze employee relations trends and provide recommendations to improve workforce engagement and retention.
- Support collective bargaining activities, union engagements, and labour relations initiatives.
- Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution between employees, unions, and management when required.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting labour-related litigation and compliance processes.
What We Are Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of Human Resources and/or Employee Relations experience.
- Experience working in a unionized environment, including labour relations, grievance management, and collective bargaining support.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations principles, and workplace investigations.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and sound professional judgment.
