Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations & Labor Law Specialist to join our HR team at Accenture Bulgaria. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, labor law compliance, workplace investigations, performance management, and organizational change initiatives. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Bulgarian labor legislation while supporting business leaders and HR stakeholders in managing complex employee-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations, Investigations & Risk Management

  • Manage end-to-end Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, policy violations, misconduct investigations, and sensitive employee matters.
  • Lead workplace investigations and determine appropriate outcomes in line with local labor law, company policies, and governance requirements.
  • Support difficult employee conversations where legal, procedural, or language considerations are involved.
  • Assess and mitigate employee relations, legal, operational, and reputational risks.

Performance Management, Disciplinary Processes & Terminations

  • Lead formal performance management processes, including Performance Improvement Plans, warnings, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage involuntary separations, managed exits, and complex escalation cases while ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain high-quality employee documentation, including PIPs, warning letters, termination documents, settlement agreements, and related correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain legally compliant HR templates and documentation.

Labor Law, HR Policies & Compliance

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Bulgarian labor law and employee relations topics.
  • Advise HR, business leaders, and managers on labor law matters, employee relations issues, and compliance requirements.
  • Support organizational restructurings, workforce transitions, transfers, and redundancy programs, ensuring legal compliance and risk management.
  • Interpret and apply local labor legislation and internal policies consistently across the organization.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and translate them into practical HR policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, external counsel, and relevant stakeholders to address complex employment matters.
  • Ensure compliance with labor inspections, employee consultation requirements, documentation standards, and regulatory obligations.
  • Draft, review, and maintain official employment documentation and legal correspondence.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of Bulgarian Labor Law and employment regulations.
  • Significant experience in Employee Relations, labor law, workplace investigations, and HR compliance.
  • Proven experience managing disciplinary cases, employee grievances, performance management processes, terminations, and organizational restructuring initiatives.
  • Experience advising managers and business leaders on complex employee relations matters.
  • Understanding of HR implications during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational transformation.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Relations processes and practices.
  • Expertise in workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and communication abilities.
  • Proven risk assessment and compliance management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
