At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before.

Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make.

The purpose of this role

The purpose of the Employee Relations Advisor is to provide exceptional employee relations support. You will manage end‑to‑end employee relations cases and deliver pragmatic, high‑quality advice that supports leaders to navigate people matters with confidence.

Working collaboratively with the broader People team, you'll support best-practice people processes and help drive continuous improvement across the function. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your employee relations expertise within a large organisation, gaining exposure to a diverse range of matters while making a meaningful impact across the business.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract opportunity and can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane with hybrid work arrangements.

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Demonstrated experience managing end to end employee relations cases
  • Experience coaching leaders and employees through conduct, performance and grievance processes, systems and policy interpretation and application.
  • Supporting and conducting workplace investigations
  • Experience with interpretation and application of employment contracts, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience supporting HR processes and policies across the employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience with ability to influence People Leaders.
  • Experience using HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to apply sound judgement

Why you’ll love it?

We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. From providing initiatives that develop careers to looking after our people’s health, wellbeing and futures. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with a mix of time in the office and at home, while having plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take your experience to the next level.

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.

Here at Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are committed to building diverse teams that are reflective of the communities we serve and fostering a fair and inclusive workplace free from discrimination, bullying and harassment. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants and are dedicated to removing barriers to participation.
