About the role

Are you an experienced Employee and Labor Relations professional who enjoys navigating complex employment matters, building trusted relationships, and shaping constructive dialogue with employee representatives? In this role, you will deliver Employee Relations and Labor Relations services across the Nordic countries: Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

As an Employee & Labor Relations Manager Nordics, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert for complex and high-risk employee relations matters and serve as the key Labor Relations point of contact for the Nordic region. You will partner closely with business leaders, HR colleagues, union representatives, works councils and other social partners to deliver practical, compliant, and people-centered solutions.

The role reports into the Employee & Labor Relations Cluster Lead and is supported by an Employee & Labor Relations team based in our Regional Global Services Hub in Prague.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead selected Employee Relations and Labor Relations activities across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway, ensuring consistent, compliant, and high-quality support for the business.

  • Provide expert guidance on Labor Relations strategy, including preparation for and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements within agreed parameters.

  • Act as the main Labor Relations contact for the Nordic countries, including consultations and negotiations with unions, employee representatives, and other social partners.

  • Manage complex, sensitive, and high-risk Employee Relations cases, including direct interventions with managers and employees where required.

  • Prepare, facilitate and implement organizational change initiatives, including restructurings, policy implementations, mergers/acquisitions, divestitures and other projects. Advise global, regional and local business and project leaders on Labor Relations requirements within those initiatives.

  • Ensure HR policies, practices and processes remain practical and compliant with applicable local employment and labor legislation.

  • Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of Employee Relations and Labor Relations strategies, policies, practices, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery, strengthen operational processes, and improve the employee and leader experience.

  • Build strong and trusted relationships with business leaders, other pillars of the HR organization, employee representatives, and external professional networks to stay connected to market trends and workplace developments.

  • Collaborate effectively with regional and global ER/LR colleagues and the Prague-based support team as well as with our external legal support to ensure seamless execution of cases, projects and processes.

Qualifications

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • A university degree in Law (preferred) or Economics with focus on Human Resources and Employee/Labor Relations.

  • At least 6 years of professional HR experience, with a strong focus on Employee Relations and/or Labor Relations in an international cooperation.

  • Strong expertise in Swedish employment and labor law, including experience with MBL negotiations.

  • Good knowledge of employment and labor relations legislation and practices in Denmark, Finland and Norway.

  • Experience in collective bargaining, union consultations and collaboration with employee representatives or other social partners.

  • Proven experience handling complex, sensitive and high-risk employee relations matters with sound judgment, discretion and integrity.

  • Strong ability to diagnose complex issues, identify practical solutions, and implement strategies that balance legal, business and employee considerations.

  • Solid project management skills in the field of organizational changes, restructuring, M&A, divestitures and Policy implementation projects.

  • Experience working with case management tools (such as Salesforce, ServiceNow) and HR systems (such as Workday).

  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Additional Nordic languages like Danish, Finnish, Norwegian are a plus.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, communication and collaboration skills.

  • A proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

kr614 000,00 - kr1 059 150,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
