The ideal candidate must be local & willing to travel to & support multiple hospital & clinic locations.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Implements system wide surveillance program. Is responsible for managing all employee work related communicable disease surveillance. Manages the return-to-work process. Retrieves employee health records for regulatory surveys. Provides education and guidance for hospital employees through programs focused on safety needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Implements system wide surveillance programs, (Flu vaccine, TB, Fit Testing, Laser Eye, Hearing conservation and work-related communicable disease surveillance.
Performs return to work function for employees out of work. Is responsible for managing the outside testing in-box, the on-line assessment tool, EPIC daily triage list. The return-to-work list and the daily Epic resulting in-box.
Communicates to leaders and ensures employee compliance with Fit testing, TB assessment and Flu vaccine, Hearing conservation, Laser Eye testing, and communicable disease exposures. Participates in the system wide Infection Control Council.
Responsible for Virtua Works data entry, maintenance of equipment, and ordering of supplies and vaccines for above programs and surveillance purposes.
Acts as a resource to Virtua Occupational Health to support Respiratory Fit testing of new hires and employees.
Assist with employee request for medical exemption for required vaccines. Assist with employee request for religious and medical exemption(s) for respirator usage.
Identifies process improvements in daily operations and system wide surveillance programs. Provides feedback periodically during staff meetings.
Manages all Employee Health & Safety email inboxes and voice phone messages. Responds to e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. Communicates any employee concerns with management as soon as they arise.
Effectively navigates Virtua Works to ascertain employee information. Is proficient in running reports for aforementioned above programs.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Minimum of 1 year experience. Employee Health/Occupational Health experience preferred. Strong computer and clinical skills required. Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Required Education:
Graduate of practical nursing program from accredited school.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Current NJ LPN license.
Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $39.11
