About this Role

Ampacity is a rapidly growing product sales and mechanical solar installation company based in Monterey, California. Our installation and product sales span the continental United States and support the development and build of utility and distributed generation solar projects. We are excited that our tremendous growth is opening doors of opportunity within our Human Resources team, and we are actively looking for a team-oriented and positive individual to serve as an Employee Experience Specialist (EES).

The Employee Experience Specialist (EES) is an entry level role within the Human Resources (HR) Department that is embedded with the Construction and Services teams. This primary function of this role is to ensure that Ampacity’s field employees are having the best possible experience and to work as a liaison between the field, Construction Management, and Human Resources. This is a remote position. Must be available to work within the Pacific Time Zone. The role requires approximately 20% travel. Pay Range: $28 - $35/hourly

What You'll Do

  • Proactively reach out to Construction and Services employees to build positive working relationships and foster a productive working community
  • Make occasional visits to project sites to boost morale and further propagate a sense of support
  • Proactively monitor the attendance and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Teams channels and reach out to employees to gather statements, witness reports, and report findings to HR and Construction Management
  • Work closely with the Safety department to ensure that statements, descriptions, and reports are being accurately completed and disseminated to HR and Claims
  • Serve as the primary line of communication between all stakeholders in the event of an employee’s illness, injury, or bereavement
  • Nurture positive working relationships by sending care packages to injured, sick, or bereft employees

What You'll Bring

  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • A baseline understanding of solar construction workflow
  • An infectious, positive attitude
  • Ability to travel intermittently
  • Ability to confirm mechanical completion and identify installation deficiencies
  • Capability to manage an expense account of ~$10,000
  • Self-directed and comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting schedules and short-notice task assignments
