Job Description

An Employment Skills Training Facilitator’s Day involves:

  • Facilitating group training sessions to jobseekers, face to face and online if required
  • Working with the job seekers referred from digital services and other employment service providers to our Employability skills training program
  • Delivering engaging group-based training
  • Promoting Jobfind and EST courses
  • Providing completion report to the jobseekers participating in the program
  • Understanding the needs of local employers and labour markets
  • Ensuring high engagement of job seekers to complete the EST training blocks
  • Identifying job seekers area of interest and assisting them to secure work trials
  • Connecting job seekers through apprenticeship and traineeship
  • Identifying issues and working with the host organisation or job seekers to resolve them
  • Undertaking risk assessment for the job seeker and the host organisation for industry awareness experiences

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience in Employment Services is highly regarded
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office is essential
  • Efficient administration skills and able to demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Highly organised and able to self-manage day to day tasks appropriately
  • Capable of handling difficult situations and manage conflict
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of diverse people

To be considered you must...

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
