What You Will Do *

As an Electromagnetic Engineering Effects (E3) Engineer, you will support the System Engineering (SE)and testin one or more of the following areas:

  • Primary role will be to performE3,to includeEMI/EMC,Lightning, Shielding, HERO, EMP analyses and supportspaceportfolios in developing and deliveringCDRLs;support EMI testing

  • Support/perform main aspects of EMI testing toinclude:logistics, writing of test plans & procedures, overseeing equipment availability, test setup, performing testing, and generating test reports for stakeholders and customers

  • Apply yourE3skills to enable the logical and systematic conversion of customer needs into total systems derived requirements and solutions

  • Perform and support functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

  • Perform and support requirements verificationthrough:compiling, organizing, performing,evaluatingand documenting completed compliance verification process which assesses design performance and operational electromagnetic issues at both the package and system levels

  • Join ourE3Engineering team. Be partnered and mentoryoung engineers, while supporting multiple programs

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 requirements and the applicable test methods

  • Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference / Compatibility (EMI/EMC) theory and ability to apply it to design,modelingand analyses

  • Ability and willingness to perform testing work on-site

  • Willingness/eligibility to obtain/ maintaina Secret clearance; US Citizenship Required

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with satellite,airbornesystems,and box level test and analysis (or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of test equipment operation, including EMI Test Receiver, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, and Signal Generators and other EMI test equipment

  • GeneratingE3Control Plans, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Lab Reports, or equivalent

  • TILE, Excel, and PSPICE or equivalent experience

  • E3Analysis

  • Microsoft Office applications

  • Demonstratedstrongunderstanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proactive and self-starter,demonstratedteamwork and leadership

  • Enthusiastic, independent thinker, and team-player

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
