Today, Albertus Magnus stands as a vibrant example of modern higher education.

Position Summary:
The college search process has fundamentally changed. Today's prospective students, parents, and researchers are bypassing traditional search bars and turning to conversational AI platforms. This position sits at the intersection of traditional, new, and emerging media and will serve as the coordinator for creating and updating digital content. It will shape a digital footprint that AI models trust, synthesize, and cite. If you are eager to build the future playbook for AI-era communications, this role is for you.

QualificationsMajor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a flawless "source of truth" for our brand online. You will ensure that brand definitions, categories, and leadership bios are consistent across earned media and owned content so AI engines can easily map our identity.
- Ensure all press releases, boilerplate copy, and media kits feature clear, evidence-backed claims that machines can extract without ambiguity.
- Collaborate with internal PR staff for media placements.
- Write content, explainers, and thought leadership articles structured to answer conversational, long-tail user prompts (e.g., “What is the best way to solve X?”)
- Learn to monitor and analyze how our brand is positioned inside AI overviews and conversational chats. You will track our visibility and figure out why a model cited a competitor over us, adjusting content to fill those gaps.
- Work alongside our web team to format content with conversational Q&As, clear summaries, and structures optimized for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in our content management system (CMS).
- Establish a schedule for regular content updates (guided by best practices) so all web content remains visible to AI search.
- Take a successful piece of earned media or data-backed research and work with our content team to turn it into social-first copy, newsletter segments, The Department of Human Resources | July 2025 or brief scripts to compound our authority.
- Use generative AI tools natively and responsibly to brainstorm pitch angles, test how an LLM summarizes a new press release, and streamline content workflows

Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, digital media, English, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
- One to three years of experience in content creation, digital communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience writing, editing, and adapting content for websites, social media, email communications, press releases, or other digital platforms.
- Experience working with a content management system (CMS) and familiarity with basic search engine optimization (SEO) principles preferred.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools, conversational search, or emerging digital content practices preferred; willingness and ability to learn new technologies required.
- Experience in higher education, nonprofit communications, or mission-driven organizations is preferred but not required.
- A portfolio or samples demonstrating professional writing and digital-content work may be requested.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to grammar, accuracy, consistency, and brand voice.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, accessible, and easy-to-navigate content for a variety of audiences.
- Understanding of how content is developed and optimized for websites, social media, email, traditional search engines, and AI-assisted search platforms.
- Ability to research and verify information and develop content supported by accurate, credible, and evidence-based sources.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments, maintain content schedules, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders
- Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly while applying sound editorial judgment, fact-checking, and appropriate data-privacy practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in evaluating content performance and adjusting strategies based on emerging trends and The Department of Human Resources | July 2025 available data.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt within a rapidly changing digital environment.
- Commitment to supporting the College’s mission, values, and diverse community.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with web analytics, social media management, email marketing, or digital design platforms is a plus.
