About Westerville Veterinary Clinic
For more than 50 years, Westerville Veterinary Clinic has been a trusted part of the Westerville community, providing exceptional veterinary care while building lasting relationships with generations of pet owners. Today, the hospital has grown into a thriving 9 doctor small animal practice that offers general practice, urgent care, and evening emergency services under one roof. This unique model allows doctors to practice a diverse mix of medicine while providing continuity of care for patients, from routine wellness visits and preventative medicine to advanced diagnostics, surgery, hospitalization, urgent care, and emergency cases.
The hospital is equipped with the technology and resources needed to practice high-quality medicine, including an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical suites, advanced anesthesia monitoring, and access to 24/7 board certified radiology interpretation. Doctors are encouraged to collaborate, discuss cases, and continue expanding their skills. For those interested in emergency medicine, the hospital also provides opportunities to develop advanced surgical skills, including GDVs, pyometras, C sections, splenectomies, and foreign body surgeries, with experienced veterinarians available for guidance and support.
One of Westerville Veterinary Clinic's greatest strengths is its collaborative culture. With 9 veterinarians, experienced registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and a dedicated client care team, doctors are surrounded by knowledgeable professionals who genuinely enjoy working together. The support staff plays an active role in patient care, allowing veterinarians to focus on diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, and client communication rather than routine technical tasks. Whether you're seeking a second opinion on a challenging case or extra hands during a busy shift, help is always available.
The hospital's evening emergency service was intentionally designed to provide the excitement and variety of emergency medicine while avoiding many of the challenges associated with traditional overnight practice. Rather than working until the early morning hours, emergency veterinarians finish their shifts at 2:00 AM, and new emergency cases are no longer accepted during the final hour of each shift. This gives doctors dedicated time to complete patient care, finish medical records, and leave on schedule. Hospitalized patients receive seamless continuity of care through collaboration with the daytime emergency and general practice teams, allowing emergency doctors to go home knowing their patients remain in excellent hands.
Above all, Westerville Veterinary Clinic is committed to creating an environment where veterinarians can build long, rewarding careers. The leadership team believes that practicing great medicine starts with taking care of the people providing it. Through mentorship, collaboration, advanced medical resources, a sustainable schedule, and a genuinely supportive culture, the hospital has created an environment where doctors can continue growing professionally while maintaining a healthy balance between their careers and personal lives.
We are dedicated to establishing a culture that celebrates all forms of diversity and allows us to be an inclusive service provider in this community.
