We’re on the hunt for Full-Time and Part-Time Vet Nurses to join our Emergency & Critical Care team where every shift counts, every patient matters, and no two nights are ever the same.

At ARH Canberra, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with specialists in Medicine and Surgery and collaborate with our Rehabilitation department for truly holistic patient care. This is where skill meets heart and chaos meets calm.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency and hospitalised patients
  • Support veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures
  • Monitor patients, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Assist in surgical and critical care cases as required
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during stressful situations
  • Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
  • Contribute positively to team culture and knowledge sharing

Our ideal candidate, will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum 2+ years clinical experience (GP or Emergency)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuing education
