About The Role

This dynamic and busy role has an immediate start and will utilise your experience in emergency response and rescue offering rewarding career opportunities with a work life balance. As an integral part of the emergency response team, you will be first response to all incidents and emergencies during shift, returning the site to a safe and harmonious state post incident. Return flights to Brisbane or Cairns, meals and accommodation are provided.

You will have the ability to:

• Respond to a range of emergency situations including but not limited to, fire activations, road crash rescues, vertical rescues, confined space rescues, hazardous material incidents and medical treatment situations
• Maintain all emergency vehicles and equipment
• Conduct all random drug and alcohol testing
• Participate in emergency response skills maintenance training

• Australian Driver’s License – Open Manual – Heavy Rigid
• RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
• HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
• Security Licensed pursuant to the Security Providers Act 1993 (QLD)
• HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Current up to date immunizations – Tetanus, Hep A & B.
• You must have Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite

You will need to be able to pass: (The below requirements are maintained at the employer’s expense)

• Current Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment (Coal Board Medical)
• National Police Check
• Current physical, functional capacity evaluation
