As an Emergency Services Dispatcher, you are the first point of contact with the public via both emergency 911 phone lines and non-emergency phone lines. You must obtain information from callers who may be injured, confused, angered, hysterical, frightened, or abused You’ll then communicate effectively to dispatch city police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical services on emergency and non-emergency calls. The City of Pueblo was established in 1842, incorporated in 1870 and is proudly called the “Home of Heroes” because of the record of four living recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor who claim Pueblo as their hometown. The City Seal, which is under the five flags, represents the countries and territories that held dominion over the Pueblo area which include France, Mexico, Texas, Spain and of course the United States of America.
