Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Location: Show Low, Arizona
Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week
Pay Range: $31.00–$47.00 per hour

A healthcare organization in Show Low, Arizona, is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for permanent night-shift opportunities.
The ER RN will provide fast-paced, high-acuity nursing care to patients presenting with a wide variety of emergency conditions, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, medical, and behavioral health emergencies.
The Emergency Department sees approximately 100 patients per day and includes 30 private ER rooms, a six-room Emergency Department Observation Unit, fast-track services, and dedicated behavioral health monitoring areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing reassessments
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Provide care to trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and other high-acuity patients
- Monitor patients requiring cardiac and neurological observation
- Initiate emergency interventions according to established protocols
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize significant changes
- Provide stroke assessments and follow established neurological protocols
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during emergency procedures
- Stabilize patients before admission, transfer, or discharge
- Provide care to patients within the Emergency Department Observation Unit
- Coordinate care with physicians, physician assistants, technicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow trauma, infection-control, medication-safety, and emergency nursing standards
- Utilize Allscripts Sunrise for electronic documentation
- Utilize Omnicell for medication management
- Perform other Emergency Department nursing responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Current Registered Nurse license or eligibility for Arizona licensure
- Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience
- Emergency Department nursing experience strongly desired
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course certification
- Strong emergency assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cardiac and neurological assessment skills
- Ability to respond effectively to trauma and other emergency situations
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week
Preferred
- Two or more years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Trauma nursing experience
- Experience caring for cardiac and stroke patients
- Previous experience in a high-volume Emergency Department
- Experience using Allscripts Sunrise
- Experience using Omnicell
Department Information
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Approximately 100 Emergency Department visits per day
- 30 private ER rooms, including:
- 6-room Emergency Department Observation Unit
- 6 fast-track beds
- 1 seclusion room
- 5 additional monitored rooms
- Typical RN-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:3 to 1:4
- Physician Assistant coverage available in Fast Track for lower-acuity patients
- Approximately 5 Emergency Department technicians available during peak hours
- Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, neurological, behavioral health, and general emergency conditions
- Allscripts Sunrise electronic medical record
- Omnicell medication management system
Schedule
- Full-time night shift
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Approximately 36 hours per week

- Scrubs may be any color except all black
