Responsible for maintaining the Emergency Preparedness (Design Basis) and/or Emergency Response (Beyond Design Basis) capability of the Plant in accordance with regulatory and Plant policies.

Please Note: This position is posted in a range, and an offer will be made based on the candidate's qualifications.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain the Cook Plant Emergency Plan and/or Beyond Design Basis program documents in accordance with regulatory and license basis specifications and Cook Nuclear Plant policy.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination and conduct of Emergency Preparedness drills and exercises.
  • Prepare and present training on Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Response requirements.
  • Participate in Emergency Preparedness and/or Emergency Response program improvement projects when warranted by NRC rulemaking, industry excellence initiatives and management recommendation.
  • Improve Emergency Preparedness and/or Emergency Response programs by participating in corrective action program, self-assessment, benchmarking and inspection activities.
  • Maintain Emergency Preparedness and/or Emergency Response Facilities and Equipment in a readiness condition.

What We're Looking For:

ER Prep Coordinator Mid-level:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Engineering/Energy Technology, Health Physics or related technical field
  • Or Associate's degree in Emergency Management, Engineering/Energy Technology, Health Physics or related technical field and 2 years' relevant job experience,
  • Or High School diploma/GED and 4 years' relevant job experience.

Experience:

  • In addition to any experience required above, 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

ER Prep Coordinator, Senior:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in emergency management, engineering/energy technology, health physics or related technical field
  • Or Associate’s degree in emergency management, engineering/energy technology, health physics, or related technical field and 2 years’ relevant job experience;
  • Or High School diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant job experience.

Experience:

  • In addition to any experience required above, 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

Other Requirements:

  • 5% Travel Required
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • During scheduled refueling outages: 12-hour shifts (nights and/or days)
