Hours 6a-230p/7a-330p, every other weekend and rotating holidays
As an Emergency/Admitting Representative you will:
Complete front desk registration and inpatient floor follow-up registration.
Handle direct admissions, hospital transfers, and sleep study check-ins.
Create visitor badges for families.
Answer and manage incoming calls to the admitting line.
Collect and enter documents from the fax machine into EPIC
Perform admissions for Fetal Care, including in-person updates on the floor.
Visit assigned patient rooms to confirm parent availability and obtain consent.
Collaborate with team members to ensure daily tasks are completed.
Provide shift handoffs and ensure documentation is complete for the next team.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of work experience in a related job discipline (Healthcare registration experience preferred)
Excellent over-the-phone communication skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
