Job Description

Work in Japan as an Emergency Teleradiologist – with TMC

THE OPPORTUNITY
Telemedicine Clinic (TMC), part of Unilabs, is Europe’s leading teleradiology provider. Since pioneering the field in 2002, we’ve become a trusted partner to over 150 hospitals across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the UK.

To meet growing demand, we’re expanding our highly successful on-call model—currently based in Australia and New Zealand—into Japan. From this new hub, you’ll report emergency cases for hospitals in Scandinavia and the UK, all during your local daytime hours.

Our first radiologists are about to begin, and we’re now welcoming more specialists to join the team. This is your chance to be part of an exciting new chapter in TMC’s Emergency section.

We’re looking for experienced emergency radiologists licensed to work in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, or the UK. You’ll relocate to Japan for a 3–6-month period (the possibility to come for longer periods will be offered in the future).

IS THIS YOU?
If you answer “yes” to the following, there’s a good chance you’ll thrive at TMC:

  • Do you care deeply about your profession and patient outcomes?
  • Would you like to specialise further in emergency radiology?
  • Are you ready to live and work in Japan?
  • Do you want to leave bureaucracy behind and join an efficient, modern teleradiology setup?
  • Are you excited to work with cutting-edge technology and world-leading AI tools?
  • Would you value a competitive income based on productivity?

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To maintain the high standards our clients expect, candidates must:

  • Hold a specialist degree in diagnostic radiology
  • Have consultant-level experience in emergency radiology
  • Be licensed in Sweden, Denmark, or Norway (for Scandinavian reporting), or be GMC-registered / eligible (for UK reporting)
  • Be fluent in a Scandinavian language (if reporting for Scandinavian clients)
  • Have a proactive mindset, be organised and resilient, and enjoy close collaboration with your colleagues
  • Be open to learning new systems and approaches—including AI-supported workflows
  • Share our commitment to quality and innovation: TMC is a leading user of AI in clinical practice, using advanced tools to support accurate and efficient reporting

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
We’re committed to making your time with TMC both professionally rewarding and personally enriching.

Live the Experience

Earn Well
With daytime reporting of on-call cases, you’ll have the chance to be highly productive and well-compensated. Japan's relatively low cost of living adds to the appeal. TMC also covers return flights and housing for the initial group.
