JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-136558 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Dardanelle, Arkansas Coverage Period: Dec 14, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7a – 7a Hours Per Shift: 24 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 14 patients per day Case Mix: General emergency medicine; 10% admission rate FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 25 beds EMR System: Medhost PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board not required (ABPS accepted) Licenses: Active AR Medical License, DEA with AR address (Schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5) DEA / CDS: Active DEA required with AR address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5 Certifications: ATLS required; ACLS and PALS recommended Experience: Residency trained in EM, FM, IM, or GS; 2+ years recent experience Other Qualifications: 2 years of case logs, 2 years of CMEs (40 Cat 1), up-to-date immunizations (TB, COVID, Flu, MMR, Varicella, Hep B) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care to patients in the ED Manage an average of 14 patients per day Coordinate with admitting physicians for the ~10% admission rate Perform 24-hour shift coverage including overnight hours Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the Medhost EMR
