JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Active Unrestricted Tennessee Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS, or AOA Pathways
• DEA: Active DEA with Tennessee Address and Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Required if Not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine; NRP Required for Non-ABEM Providers
• Experience: New Graduates Accepted; EM Residency Graduates Within the Past 12 Months Considered
• Other Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited MD or DO Program; Completion of Residency Training; ECFMG Required for Foreign Medical Graduates; Case Logs for Previous 2 Years Required; Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME Required for Initial Application and Every Two Years for Reappointment; Fellowship Required; Must Meet Supervising Physician Requirements for NP and PA Oversight; Telehealth Experience Not Required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide emergency department physician coverage
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients
• Supervise NP and PA providers in accordance with facility requirements
• Perform emergency stabilization and management of acute conditions
• Complete accurate documentation within Epic EMR
