Job Description

Providence Medical Group is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our established and collegial team serving St. Joseph Hospital (Level III Trauma Center) and Redwood Memorial Hospital in beautiful Humboldt County, Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-acuity medicine while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in a scenic coastal community. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Position Highlights

  • 1.0 FTE with both day and night shifts
  • Night differential and flexible scheduling options
  • Work across two EDs treating 50,000+ annual visits
  • St. Joseph Hospital: Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery
  • Redwood Memorial Hospital: Critical access hospital, 8 beds, 15 minutes south of Eureka
  • On-site lab and diagnostic services
  • Wide variety of cases and a supportive, collaborative culture
  • Close partnerships with tertiary centers: UCSF, UC Davis, Childrens Hospital Oakland

Compensation & Incentives

  • Annual compensation: $315,684 – $425,064
  • Shareholder opportunity starting year 3, with additional incentives and retention bonuses totaling $1M+ over a full career
  • Annual quality/performance bonuses
  • Up to $7,500/year for CME and professional expenses
  • Residency/fellowship stipend: up to $2,000/month for qualifying candidates
  • Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

Total compensation may include productivity incentives, quality bonuses, call stipends, and extra-shift pay. Salary range reflects California law.
