Provides support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport
Arrives to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action
Uses appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury
Monitors patient condition and performs data collection
Communicates findings and patient condition to primary Registered Staff Nurse
Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
Regular and prompt attendance
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
Related duties as assigned
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation of an EMT course Required
EMT - Emergency Medical Tech - licensure in the state of Alabama Required
BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Preferred
Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
