Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Coordinator $42.826 to $52.327

The EMT-P/ACP Coordinator is an integral member and leader for front line staff, coordinating operational resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring established policies, procedures, and work standards are followed, as well as ongoing mentoring and coaching of personnel. As a member of the front-line team, the EMT-P/ACP Coordinator is responsible for scene management and support to patients, families and staff. The EMT-P/ACP Coordinator reports to the Manager of EMS Operations or designate for the area of province they are working. They may also provide occasional support or input on provincial initiatives.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Licenses

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)

Education

  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of ACP experience which includes program/resource development.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload

Other Education & Training

  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Advanced
  • Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certificate acceptable
  • Current Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(BLS-CPR) certification
