The EMT-ACP will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-ACP will cover standby assignment, as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

• Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Licenses

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
• Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)
• Valid Class 4 driver's license
• Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)

Other Education and Training

• Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certificate acceptable
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

• Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
